The United States 2012 Republican National Convention, in which delegates of the Republican Party will choose the party's nominees for President and Vice President, will be held during the week of August 27, 2012, in Tampa, Florida^[3] at the Tampa Bay Times Forum.

On August 14, 2009, the Republican National Committee named a 13 person Site Selection Committee to start the process of selecting a host city for the 2012 convention.^[4]
